Create your Own Season Essentials!

With every season, new looks are introduced. These trends and styles are found in fashion magazines and blogs. The writers of these fashion blogs are known as ‘it’ girls. They tell us what to wear and what will look good for the season. If you have been to Spain, you probably heard this phrase: ‘a seasonal change is not identified by the calendar, but when a department store launches its new line of clothes for that particular season.’

A majority of people don’t really have time to go through magazines and blogs to figure out what’s in for the season. This is the reason why we have put together this blog for you. So, what are the trends for fall/winter 2015-2016? Let’s find out!

‘Granny’ style is here to stay and so are fringes. Corduroy is back with a bang as well! Mixing classic pieces such as stylish blazers with crisp cotton shirts is another trend for fall and winter. The color burgundy is the most worn and popular color in stores right now for the chilly season. Many brands are promoting this bright and flirty color, and it has the power to give many clothing pieces a kind of vintage feel.

You need to remember one thing when it comes to fashion. Even though something is trending, it does not necessarily mean that it is meant for you. Fashion is about you only, so wear trends that suit your style and personality. Do give every trend a try, but also figure out whether it suits you or not. As one of my favorite person, Coco Chanel says, “Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street; fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.”

For me, “etre la mode” means allowing my imagination to run wild. I know this won’t necessarily work for everyone, and this is why GUAPA represents different styles and designers. When I go to Europe, I usually look for pieces that will appeal to a number of different women. New accessories that we don’t see in the US catch my attention too. Finding things like that is not easy, but from my trip to Paris, I came across this really amazing piece which I call boot cuffs. You can have a look at it here: It may look a little bold, but I managed to sell out this piece.

Know that if you come across with a really nice pair of pants of jeans; do wear it whenever you can. When going to formal events, wear a nice shirt and necklace to add some flair to your look. You will look amazing and feel stylish too! Go for it; create your own Season style!
